Julissa Alexandria Veloz (born September 8, 1988) known generally as Julissa Veloz, is a Dominican-American recording
artist and songwriter.
Born in , Julissa has been singing since the age of 5, classically trained from the age of 10, and a recording artist since the age of 16. She had her first claim to fame as “Tiara Girl” in Season 8 of American Idol. After being eliminated in the group rounds, Julissa was soon signed to record label Carrillo Music owned by world famous DJ Rod Carrillo.
In 2010, Julissa released her debut single,”Take Control”, which peaked in the top ten of the Billboard Dance/Club Play at #8. “Take Control” was also licensed to over 10 countries around the world including Poland, Italy and Greece.
Julissa has recently released her second single, “Predator”, which entered the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart at #44 and has since climbed to #19 giving Julissa two consecutive top 20 Billboard Dance records.
Julissa’s latest release, Sweet Sugar Poison, has already broken out on Billboard Dance right behind pop music icon, Britney Spearsand it reached #1 best-selling track on Masterbeat.com.
